It’s a cool 58 degrees inside Riverbluff Cave, where paleontologist and executive director for the Missouri Institute of Natural Science Matt Forir shines his flashlight on the claw mark of the now extinct giant short-faced bear.

In the second week of June, the Missouri Institute of Natural Science completed its third foray to dinosaur country in Wyoming.

The Missouri Institute of Natural Science in Springfield has a very large, new resident: A triceratops skeleton. The museum's director and many others from the institute’s dig team took part in the "unearthing" in Wyoming.

Was Henry's head ripped off by a hungry T-Rex?

That's a strong possibility according to Matt Forir, director of the Missouri Institute of Natural Science at Riverbluff Cave. Over the next year, Forir and a team of volunteers will be assembling the fossilized bones of Henry — one of the largest Triceratops dinosaurs ever unearthed.
